Marcus Miller V5 Alder-5 TS

I am not primarily a bass player, but like basses. I originally bought the V7 5-string, but actually wanted a passive version of the bass, because I use GED-2112 preamp and prefer not to use batteries. The V5 is exactly what I want from a Jazz bass. The roasted neck is a nice extra. Construction is flawless, looks great in person, better than in the photos. Comparing to the photos, the fretboard is darker and highly glossy in real life. Selection of woods and finish are perfect, zero quality issues with the bass that I received. This is really a professional bass. I am really happy!

I love it. I was looking for a 5 string passive bass and this came up. It's brilliant bass, holds tune very well and the finishing is good. Love the maple neck. Very versatile instrument for a good price. I use it on jazz to metal. I play fingerstyle and with pic, and this instrument just cuts it. A good buy.
