K&M 23765 Microphone Fishing Pole

I bought this to use on a short three day film production (first time as a sound recordist). I always buy K&M mic stands because they are solid and well built. This one is good. Easy to use, quiet, I didn't need to use it fully extended but even when it was close to 2.5m it didn't wobble or make any extra or excessive handling noise.

The only point where is doesn't do so well is the locking mechanism to extend/retract the poles. The poles do slip, twist and move easily even after tightening up the clamps. With a heavy mic, that obviously won't work well. I borrowed a Sennheiser MHK804 that would have been difficult to use because of the weight and length at certain angles - and ended up using a Sennheiser MKE600. Speaking of weight, I found the pole pretty lightweight and had no problem holding it for extended takes.

So, it has some small issues and depending on what you are using it with that may be an issue. I've not used other boom poles so have nothing else to compare it with.

Diese Boompole ist ein super Kompromiss, wenn man eine stabile Angel zu angemessenem Preis benötigt. Die Verarbeitung ist einwandfrei. Der Verriegelungsmechanismus des Teleskopsystems lässt sich gut bedienen, genau hier ist aber auch der einzige Schwachpunkt des Produktes: Die Klemmung ist nicht stabil genug, um große seitliche/Torsionskräfte zu halten. Hier rutschten die Rohre einfach durch. Für die meisten Mikrofone reicht die Kraft aus, sobald der Hebel aber zu groß wird, kann es sein, dass die Schwerkraft siegt. Auch das nachziehen der Inbusschrauben hilft hier nur bedingt.
Auch schön wäre es, wenn eine Beschreibung beiliegen würde, wie die innenliegende Kabelführung funktionieren soll, wenn sich nur am oberen Ende der Pole eine Öffnung hierfür befindet. Am Unteren Ende ist hierfür keine Öffnung.

Le type verrouillage des segments de cette perche est très pratique. Ce système de levier permet de na pas perdre de temps en tournage.
La perche semble bien fabriquée et respire la solidité : K&M oblige.
Malgré tous ces avantages, cette perche est relativement lourde par rapport à la concurrence dans cette gamme de prix.
Les équivalents en terme de prix chez RØDE sont effectivement plus légers mais bien moins solides.
A vous de voir donc, quelle est votre priorité.
Au final, je recommande cette perche à toute personne voulant faire du tournage amateur et dont le budget ne permet pas l'achat de modèles plus haut de gamme.
