I would NOT advise purchasing this stand.

1. With a base as heavy as this, the whole upper part of the stand could be much bigger. The support arm should be longer. A base this heavy could support a desktop PC, not just an iPad or something similar.
2. The support arm — perhaps the most important part of a stand — is short, AND it rotates around its axis no matter how tightly you tighten all the bolts. Most musicians would probably prefer to save their hands; my palms already hurt from tightening it, and the thing still rotates. This means your device could potentially fall onto the floor at any time.

It seems that the engineers who designed this stand were as far removed from music as the Sun is from the Earth. Or they were simply bad engineers.

A stand should be light enough to carry to and from a gig.
The support arm should be as long as reasonably possible.
Most importantly, the support arm should NOT rotate around its axis. That is crucial.

None of these things are incorporated into the design of this stand.

Its only advantage is that it’s cheap.

But it’s ridiculously heavy, and your device can still fall off it at any time — especially onstage, where a musician could stumble into the stand or simply bump it with a guitar. Your iPad could end up on the floor regardless of how heavy the stand itself is.

There is no logic to this stand’s design.

Auch schwerere Tablets lassen sich in (fast) alle Richtungen drehen, neigen und schwenken, ohne dass sie wegen ihres Gewichts nach unten sacken Allerdings muss man für jede Veränderung Feststellschrauben betätigen — ich sehe aber keinen anderen Weg, die Funktionalität zu gewährleisten. Ich hatte zuvor ein günstigeres Produkt eines anderen Herstellers, bei dem sich das Tablet die gewünschte Position nicht behielt.
Ich vergebe nur vier Sterne, weil man das Tablet nicht von Hoch- auf Querformat (oder umgekehrt) drehen kann, da es keine seitliche Begrenzung gibt und das Tablet beim Drehen herausfallen kann. Man muss es aus der Halterung nehmen und in der anderen Richtung wieder einsetzen.

Hat bereits zweimal Auf- und Abbau für Gigs problemlos überstanden. Der obere Teil aus Kunststoff (in den das Tablet eingespannt wird) ist mir auch schon (ohne Tablet) beim hektischen Abbau auf einen harten Boden gefallen und hat den Sturz überlebt. Das Tablet sitzt sicher in dieser Halterung. Das untere Gewinde ist lang und macht einen stabilen Eindruck. Die Metallplatte ist schwer. Das ganze steht sicher und stabil auf der Bühne. Ist sein Geld wert und kann ich empfehlen. Allerdings ist es nicht platzsparend zu transportieren und muss vorher zerlegt werden.
