Light, visually fun, and generally fine on a budget
The design and the texture (it's a cloth-like texture, not a carbon fiber/hard plastic shell like the photos make it appear) are this case's strong suits. It gets the job done, as it's light and eye catching. However, it's not very secure; there is no zipper or lock. The only thing keeping the case closed is two latches on either side of the handle. For the price, it's just about exactly what you pay for. The one other thing I appreciate is how light the case is. It's easy to carry, but feels flimsy. I got it for a tour this summer -- I'm a violinist but play viola as a secondary instrument -- if it were my primary instrument, as a professional, I can't recommend it.
