I purchased this bass for a small project in an alternative tuning.
The finish looks good, and the most important, the sound is fine. If you want a workhorse bass to experiment with or just to practice this is just fine.
If you want to record with it (which I also did) you'll have to process it quite a bit to have a nice fat and round sound, but that's understandable for the price tag...
It can't compete in sound quality and features with my main bass (Ibanez SRFF800-BKS Multiscale) but again, in pricing there's no competitions either :)
The controls aren't of great quality. They make a bit of noise, but it's not too bad.
In general I think it's OK, but I probably would go for another one if I was to buy a new one in this price range.

I find the Ibanez GSR180-BS to be exceptional value for money, and a delight to play. I really don't know how they do it at this price! Set up was great straight out of the box. It gives me pleasure every time I pick it up to play!

Voulant me mettre à la basse, j'ai jeté mon dévolu sur cette très jolie Ibanez, marque gage de qualité… réception et colis impeccable de la part de Thomann.

ATTENTION, je n'ai pas reçu la basse qui est en photo… je ne m'en plaint pas car elle est très belle mais j'ai reçu cette basse avec une touche non pas "marron" mais noire qui fait penser à du palissandre, et en plus avec une tête noire "laquée"... c'est très joli… je me devais de le notifier.

Par contre, J'ai dû revisser complètement les potentiomètres car 2 d'entre eux bougeaient énormément.

Sinon, c'est une très belle basse, légère, et qui correspond parfaitement à mes attentes de débutant, avec une très belle sonorité . Un instrument qui va me suivre longtemps.
