Insanely good bass

BassLinesMatter 15.02.2025

Bought this as a back up to my fender mustang short scale, this is a very similar size and weight, didnt require any setup, played great out of the box once tuned up, has some nice. Looking hardware, paint and neck finish is flawless... sounds as good as it looks, loads of sustain! Has selectable p/J pick ups, they are meaty even with standard strings, neck is slightly slimmer than the fender equivilant, not necesarally a bad thing.
im really impressed for the money... had to wait 4-5 weeks to get in stock... but well worth the wait

Short & Sweet

Goosanders 15.06.2026

Over the moon with this short-scale bass! Harley Benton has seriously impressed me. It came set up beautifully right out of the box with perfect action and zero sharp fret edges. I really scrutinized the quality as much as I could and could find no factory defects, dings, or flaws of any sort. It's extremely comfortable to play. The pickups are serviceable, and it's great to at least have the P/J setup for versatility. I really love it, highly recommended!

It impressed me so much that I've already ordered my second Harley Benton instrument just weeks after getting this one.

Great value short scale bass

MikeHin 10.10.2025

Fantastic neck, very comfortable to play, well set up with low action, good P bass sound , could benefit from pickup change in the future but perfectly adequate as is

This would be outstanding even at twice the price

C Winky 26.09.2026

The MV-4 series are absurdly good value and quality. It has so many nice touches: brass saddles, luminlay side dots, roasted maple neck, truss rod access at the heel where it should be: it's all there. This satisfied my short scale itch; I stopped looking after purchasing this one. My only quibble is a tiny bit of fret sprout after a year, but I've seen far worse on instruments costing three times the price. Why pay more for less?
