Harley Benton Guitar & Bass String Cutter

As a string cutter for the guitarist these do the job well. The hardened steel cutting edge is just that, hard and with a sharp edge that remains undamaged, in the past I've had many different kinds of cutters, many failed by not being hardened properly and the jaws/edge failing.
I've cut dozens of strings with these, so far so good.

I only clip guitar strings, I don't know how these works for bass guitars.
But for guitar they easily got the job done. Mine seem to cut a bit better higher up.

The handles are soft and feels comfortable in the hands.
You are in full control of the amount of force you want to use. You can clip fast and you can clip slower with high accuracy.

I can highly recommend these. Should be in every guitar players toolbox.

They work. Would like two spring positions for ease of storage. On nail clippers, this has long been implemented :-)

Blades are not decent. he works, but I can see space.

I bought this to change the strings on my 6-string 10-gauge guitar and these cutters really struggle with those strings. Although, I was eventually able to cut the strings, but not after many attempts. The handles also seemed oily, which was weird. In my opinion, you are simply better off buying some wire cutters at your local hardware store for the same price, or a couple of euros more.

works, but quality is poor, better to invest money to something better. I needed this tool to use only once on a road =)

.. they could cut a little better. Had problems cutting the low E string with these. Took a few tries to cut it. Considering the price they are ok.

Tried it on bass and on the guitar, it cuts through it like butter. It also won't break your wallet.

Normally with Harley Benton products, I've come to expect high performance at budget price, but here, they've obviously cheaped out. The cutter blade is not sharp and it takes a lot of force to cut through heavier gauge strings. Spend a few euro more on an alternative.
