Might be the best so far
Right out of the box, the guitar was inspected and professionally set up at Thomann. The first feel of the neck was a big surprise, a fast and easy playing neck without ANY sticking frets. Played it without amp for a while and realised it is a wonderful instrument and the sound resonates from the body to the headstock.
Pick ups:
Usually I have exchanged the Roswells to Seymour Duncan SH4's. Just my personal opinion of taste. I don't know if these are better Roswells than on the cheaper Les Paul guitars but there is NO need to replace the pups on this one. You can split the hum buckers to single coils easily on the tone control. All sound settings has an own sound. I love the guitar both with clean sound (really warm) as well as the distorted sound, the bridge pick up is pretty hot and you get those Duncan type overtones.
The guitar is not heavy but not really light. It is well balanced and is a good instrument, even for any professional guitar player. Beats a 1500 € name brand any day when properly set up and adjusted.
I would have loved to have the three way switch on the horn or elsewhere. No big deal! Very happy with the guitar!
