Electro Harmonix Canyon Delay & Looper

Ever since EHX launched this pedal I was aching for it, now I had to order it and it did not dissapoint.

This pedal is so versatile and can be used to all kinds of music, I mainly play stuff on the heavier side and this pedal can be used to create nice atmospherical melodies and just build up on the music to elevate it to a grander scale. I absolutely love the shim mode, as it makes everything sound like it's filled with magical splendour.

Since this is EHX it comes with a multitude of presets and then different settings for each of them which i continue to discover all the time. A neat trick is also to use the octave delay with delay set to minimum and drive it through some distortion and fuzz to get a nice octavy-riffy base for my sound

The only downside for the pedal in my opinion is that the learning curve can be steep for all the different presets and, switching between the presets can be quite challenging

Im still discovering the joys of this pedal but i really recommend it if your looking for a fun delay that is able to create those spacey vibes and canyonesque atmoshperes!

The different delays all sound usable and inspiring. The looper is very basic, so if you're specifically looking for a looper, consider something else. The overdub feature is nice to have, but you can't really adjust any track volumes separately, and in my experience the overdub volume can be really tricky to get right when recording the loop. Also you can't use any of the delays while using the looper, which I unfortunately didn't realize before buying.
Build quality is solid, and the pedal has lasted several years without any real issues. The painted markers on the dials faded almost completely pretty quickly though, so I had to carve and re-paint them to see the knob positions.
In addition to the usual guitar setup, I have also used this pedal as a vocal reverb in a mixer fx channel, as a makeshift karaoke setup, and it worked very well for that too.
