Great baritone
Bought my first Baton Rouge guitar and decided to go for this baritone to spice up my existing guitar collection.
What can I say — great guitar for the price. Setup-wise, I had to deepen the nut a bit and experiment with strings for a while. I definitely recommend phosphor bronze strings. The fret ends are fine on mine; there’s a slight hump around the 12th fret, which is common for Far East guitars, but it does not cause any buzzing.
The guitar itself is very light, with an open-pore finish that will sadly collect dust if left out in the open. However, the lightness does not compromise the feel or make it seem fragile. I actually prefer its light weight compared to, let’s say, G-series Takamines, which are heavier and have very thick lacquer.
The electronics work, but as you might expect, that’s not really the key factor here.
Overall, a very fun guitar, and if you don’t already have a baritone or experience with one, this Baton Rouge is quite pleasant.
