Excellent sound
My only issue is that it is a 500 watt amp, but you only get 250 watts as it is. You need an external cabinet to get the full 500 watts. Ampeg don't explain this and don't even recommend a speaker cabinet to go with the unit.

Lets the bass breathe
Excellent 'warm and airy' tone. The Grit channel is musical for real-world use. Suitable for anything from home practice to club stages. When extra volume is needed without a PA system, the option to plug in an additional cab is a major advantage. Slightly hissy in the high end, but within acceptable limits.
