Recording & Live perfect solution
I've been using this microphone about 6 months in various situations and it has surprised me again and again. For recording vocals, trumpet and tuba I've found it very good and versatile.
Vocals works best with cardioid or wide cardioid pattern. With trumpet I've come up technique that sounds the same in about every room. I place the windshield about 3-5cm from microphone and play trumpet with bell almost touching the windscreen and with hypercardioid pattern. With tuba omnidirectional gives the low frequencies as I want.
I bought it for recording, but I am using it live situations as well. No feedback problems. You can sing very close and use signal attenuator to prevent distortion. With figure 8 two vocalist can use the same mic and work the levels out by changing distance from mic. Just wonderful microphone!
Time will tell how long it lasts without breaking up. Feels quite robust!
